Manor House Stables rates
Manor House Stables currently offers two different options for horses in full training. All fees are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate.
Option 1 - basic rate
The basic rate is charged at £45 per day. This rate is purely a training fee and any veterinary costs, farrier fees, racing expenses and transport expenses will be added to your monthly invoice when your horse incurs these extra costs. When your horse is in full training, it will also incur gallop fees at £50 per month and feed supplements at £2 per day.
Manor House Stables prides itself on its clear and transparent billing. When you are on the basic rate your monthly invoice will detail precisely all incurred costs in date order. This gives you a snapshot of exactly what has happened to your horse over the course of the month.
Option 2 - all-inclusive rate
The all inclusive rate is charged at £63 per day. This rate includes all additional costs except for the stable lads' overtime and expenses when your horse goes racing, extraordinary veterinary costs and overseas travel. These charges will be invoiced separately and billed to you on a quarterly basis.
Discounts
If you wish to pay the all-inclusive rate in advance, for a period of 6 months or more, you will receive a 5% discount on the training fees.
If you place two or more horses with Manor House Stables, you will receive a 10% discount on the second and subsequent horses' training fees, provided that all the horses are under precisely the same ownership and all are in full training. Note that if you are on the all-inclusive rate, the 10% discount only applies to the training element of the rate (£45), not the full £63.
Alternative rates
Those horses on the basic rate will be put onto an alternative rate in the following circumstances;
| Breaking rate | £35 per day | For yearlings in their first one or two months following their purchase |
| Resting rate | £38 per day | When your horse is either injured or not in full training for any reason |
None of Manor House Stables' rates are negotiable and horses on the all-inclusive rate are not subject to the above concessions.
