Partnership Opportunities
Partnerships are an excellent way of getting involved with racehorse ownership without the higher expense and risk of sole ownership but at the same time maintaining the personal feel associated with owning your own horse.
Many people choose to set up their own partnership and perhaps take a 'leg' each in a horse. We actively encourage these partnerships and are always happy to take on the administration involved in setting up and running these partnerships as well as registering for and reclaiming the VAT on its behalf. If you have a group of friends interested in setting up a partnership in this way please let us know.
MHS Two-Year-Old Partnerships
As in previous years we have put together another of our own partnerships with open invites. The partnership again is available to new owners as well as existing owners and will be managed in-house by Manor House Stables. Unlike other stables, we will not charge a management or administration fee and all costs are transparent and all-inclusive. Full details of the new partnership can be found below. To register your interest, or to join the partnership, please email alex@manorhousestables.com.
The MHS 2013 Partnership

All ten partners will be able to submit their choice of names and colours and a ballot and/or vote will follow to decide which are adopted. Hopefully everyone involved can have some fun coming up with their own names and colours!
Administration
Manor House Stables will administer the partnership. We will set up a partnership bank account with Weatherbys and we will recover the VAT on the partnership's behalf and deposit this into the partnership's account. All entry fees, jockey fees and other BHA and Weatherbys fees will be charged to the partnership's bank account. The VAT recoverable is likely to be sufficient to cover these fees. All prize money will also be payable into the partnership's Weatherbys account. Surplus funds will be distributed to partners in October 2013.

So, the total cost of these three horses, including training fees at Manor House Stables until 31 October 2013 is just in excess of £110,000. To cover this, each partner will be required to pay £11,000 in total, made up of a £2,000 initial buy-in cost, plus £750 per month for 12 months, the first payment being due 1 November 2012 and the final payment being due 1 October 2013. In the event that a partner joins the partnership after the 1 November 2012, the months 'missed' will be payable as part of the initial buy-in.
