Facilities for racehorses and owners at Manor House Stables
Manor House Stables is set in over 160 acres of Cheshire farmland at Malpas just off the A41 and about halfway between Chester to the north and Wolverhampton to the south. It is less than an hour from both Manchester and Liverpool. See location map...
The estate offers several grass gallops and an all-weather Safetrack gallop. A new all-weather five furlong gallop named the Stobart Straight was constructed in April this year.
Two American barns were completed by April 2009 and with the existing stables provide for up to 90 horses on site. Space, ventilation and comfort were essential features of the design and construction of the stable complex.
There is a well-appointed owners’ lounge with a viewing balcony, together with an administration suite and a lads’ hostel.
Other facilities include two covered horse walkers, a trotting ring and a sand roll, together with extensive post and rail fenced turnout paddocks.
Future plans
The next phase of development will be an indoor equine swimming pool, spa and a veterinary centre and, after that, there are plans to construct a further two barns at the end of next season which will increase the capacity to 140 boxes.
