Michael and Nicky first met through former England International football player, David Platt, who is Nicky's brother in law.  At the time, Nicky was working as Assistant to leading flat trainer John Gosden.  It was John who trained Michael's horses and it was from here Michael's love for racing blossomed.  10 years on, as Michael's passion for the sport has grown, the time was right for him to take a more active role in racing.  Michael offered Nicky the chance to become a trainer in his own right and is convinced he has what it takes to be successful in his new role.

‘Having worked along side him for 17 years, I have no doubts that Nicky’s hard work, honesty and knowledge will enable him to continue his success in his new role at Manor House stables’

Manor House Stables officially opened at the beginning of March 2007 and intends to have flat runners throughout this year’s flat season. Currently housing 30 horses, the plans for expansion rest with the county council planners. Expansion will be at a controlled pace in order to maintain the attention to detail we pride ourselves on.

Manor House was inspired by our aim to develop an unmatchable training experience. Our expertise, facilities, staff, fresh approach and idyllic location combine to provide just that.

We are proud to support The Thoroughbred Rehabilitation Centre, an original UK charity dedicated to the welfare of ex-racehorses. Please visit their website if you would like to make a donation.
